Abstract: A dynamo pattern is studied for the case of fully convective stars and for the case of stars with thin convective shells. In the framework of a simple analytical model, qualitatively correct patterns of magnetic field generation are obtained and the corresponding butterfly diagrams are constructed. The work was supported by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (project No. 07-02-00127).
Keywords: dynamo, alpha-effect, differential rotation, batterfly diagram.
