Simulation of VLSI power distribution networks on a multicore platform

V. Yu. Voronov, N. N. Popova

Lomonosov Moscow State University, Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics
Abstract: A parallel simulator of VLSI power distribution networks is discussed. The simulator is proposed for shared memory platforms with multicore processors. Parallel sparse solvers of linear systems from the Intel Math Kernel Library are used as core algorithms. A performance analysis of the simulator is given. This work was supported by Intel.
Keywords: power distribution network; modified nodal analysis; PARDISO; multicore processors; Intel Math Kernel Library.
