Modeling of flow separation at the inlet of a suction channel in regions with cuts

O. A. Averkova, I. N. Logachev, K. I. Logachev

Belgorod Shukhov State Technological University
Abstract: A method to model the detached flows at the inlet of a suction port in multiply connected regions with cuts (infinitely thin profiles) is developed. The models of rotational, irrotational, and shock-free flow around profiles are validated inside the computational domain. A numerical analytic method is proposed to determine the local drag coefficient at the inlet of the channel. A method of reducing the incoming volumes of the medium due to the corresponding arrangement of profiles is also proposed.
Keywords: detached flow; method of discrete vortices in stationary formulation; suction channels.
