Abstract: The problem of growth of the efficiency of providing IPTV services through using WiMAX technology is considered. The use of wireless technologies can provide service not only for fixed but also for mobile subscribers. Passing IPTV traffic relates to the additional overhead. Besides, WiMAX technology adds its overhead. The ways of reducing the overhead costs while providing the service are submitted. The questions concerning increase in efficiency of the used WiMAX equipment are studied.
