Distributed control system of technological objects oil and gas industry on the basis of wireless sensor network

Abstract:
The article deals with the distributed system of control over technological objects in oil and gas industry based on a wireless sensor network. There was carried out the study of existing monitoring systems. It should be pointed out that these systems do not provide the required level
of reliability. The article presents principles of designing the structure of sensor telecommunicating system, which is an optimal variant for enterprises of gas transportation system. There are proposed variants of constructing distributed systems for monitoring gas leaks on linear sections of gas main, which are based on wireless sensor network technologies. The authors consider a sensor network based on ZigBee technology. To calculate the attenuation of the sensor network signal at different height of the antenna, there was applied the Okumura model which allowed estimating the number of sensors necessary for building a reliable sensor network.
