Mathematical description of the process of multiphase measurement
A. G. Kokuev, A. V. Sorin Astrakhan State Technical University
Abstract:
Currently, a promising method of measuring multiphase flows in oil and gas industry is multiphase flow meters, the constructions of which actually consist of many modifications. A device for measuring the flow of the multiphase medium, which is considered as a structure connecting acoustic, electric and magnetic elements in a single device is presented. This device also includes ultrasonic piezoelectric transducer, a condenser, a permanent magnet and electrodes. For the application of the design in the reality, it is necessary to obtain a mathematical description of the parts of the device. According to the results of the research, the following formulas: the kinetic Boltzmann equation for acoustic waves, the ratio of Weinreich for acoustoelectric current and the equation of Pletnev’s acoustomagnetoelectric field, were derived. These formulas are the basis for theoretical calculations in the modeling process of measuring the multiphase flow using the proposed device that is based on acoustomagnetoelectric effect. To correspond to the existing analogues, the device should be supplied with the Venturi tube, measuring the total flow by means of differential pressure. The described equations and design changes will become the basis for creation of the experimental sample of the device.
