Improving the effectiveness of control of life support systems of buildings based on sensor networks

Abstract:
The purpose of this thesis is enhancing the effectiveness of management of building installations using sensor network devices. The paper provides an overview of data networks suitable for the location of sensor devices. Schemes of sensors to monitor light, humidity, temperature, smoke indoors are presented. These sensors can be used to control air conditioning and security systems. The proposed schemes of sensors can be used for the organization of mobile monitoring systems. An additional advantage of monitoring the system based on local area networks is the ability to predict traffic load using the known methods and models. Economic efficiency of the proposed elements of computer technology in the building management system is justified by the absence
of the need to build a separate ad-hoc network. It is possible due to the fact, that the designed devices can be integrated into existing Ethernet, Wi-Fi, GSM, UMTS networks.
