Abstract:
The process of decision-making support may rely on various approaches, namely: on various analytical models and on the analysis of situations using these analytical models; on statistical sources of data processing; on experience and intuition of experts who showed competence in the field; on case-based reasoning method. Each of the approaches might be important in a specific situation. But when a decision is hard to be made and there is no single opinion priorities have to be set. All of the approaches are widely used. This paper focuses on case-based reasoning method. Wholesale drug trade is very profitable and capacious part of Russian business. One of the interest areas of wholesale drug companies are e-auctions. Such auctions represent a list of drugs necessary for a medical institution. The number of drugs needed may be great. Making decisions on whether to participate in such auction or not is a very lasting and time-consuming process.Case-based decision-making support system implementation may cut time costs by up to 2 hours per day and increase labor efficiency up to 25%.
