Abstract:
The aim of this work is the development of joint manufactures methanol–hydrogen and methanol–ammonia with the purpose of saving energy and resources and reducing pollution. It is shown that the main productions of the chemical industry, using as raw material gas synthesis, obtained from the conversion of natural gas, can be divided into two groups. The first group uses only hydrogen from gas synthesis, the second group uses hydrogen and carbon oxides. The variants of the first and the second group joint manufactures are offered. The joint manufactures of methanol-hydrogen and methanol–ammonia are shown to be the most promising from the point of view of complex processing of natural gas in the chemical industry. The ways of reducing energy and raw materials resources expenditures in the joint manufactures of methanol-hydrogen and methanol–ammonia are offered. There are descriptions of developed converters of natural gas and methanol synthesis reactor with a high yield in this work. It is offered to use the unit of methanol synthesis without recyclying in the joint manufactures. There has been made a conclusion that the proposed four schemes of joint manufactures methanol–hydrogen and methanol–ammonia will reduce carbon dioxide emissions and the consumption of natural gas in obtaining products of synthesis in comparison with separate productions of these products with the same capacity.
