Methods of synergetic effect achievement of IPTV service

The focus of this paper is on the management of time-shifted television (tsTV), one of services of IPTV, which allows to watch the broadcast content at real-time with a small time shift. The architecture for a large-scale tsTV services deployment is presented. It uses co-operating proxy located in broadband access networks, and they are based on the IETF's Real-Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP). Caching algorithms have been designed to take into account content popularity and distance metrics.
