Giant light enhancement in metal nanoclusters and nanoaggregates in nanocomposite coating of solar panels
K. K. Altunin Ul'yanovsk State Pedagogical University
Abstract:
The article shows that the intensity of the electric dipole radiation emitted by a nanocluster with a certain arrangement of atoms can be much larger (by a factor of $10^3\div10^8$), than the radiation intensity of an isolated atom owing to the interatomic interaction. It is demonstrated that a composite film activated by spherical nanoparticles can ensure an ideal optical antireflection at various incidence angles of an external wave irrespective of the optical properties of the underlying medium. It is also shown that the effect of ideal optical antireflection occurs when the effective complex refractive index of the composite film is zero.
