Determination of the recoilless absorption fraction of gamma quanta by nuclei in solids using a delayed coincidence technique

Abstract:
The method for determination of the Lamb–Mossbauer factor by the delayed coincidence technique is proposed. It was used to determine this factor for $^{57}\mathrm{Fe}$ nuclei in $\mathrm{K_4Fe(CN)_6\cdot3H_2O}$. For this compound the recoilless absorption fraction of $0.339\pm0.004$ at room temperature has been obtained.
