Abstract:
The secondary relaxation transitions and local conformational dynamics in branched copolymers of methylmethacrylate were studied by the conformational probes method. It is shown that the molecular mass of polymer has no influence on freezing temperature of conformational equilibrium of small probes in polymer. The effective sizes of mobile free volume elements in branched poly(methylmethacrylate)s are less than ones in non-branched analogies.
Keywords:
secondary relaxation transitions, local dynamics of glassy polymers, free volume, IR-spectroscopy.
