Abstract:
The generation of terahertz signal in uniaxial nonlinear crystal with the help of femtosecond light pulse optical rectification method is examined. This process is considered in frequency region with low absorption. As follows from the results of numerical simulation, the terahertz pulse experiences decay into two pulses. The first one is video-soliton with spectrum centered on zero frequency, and the second one is nonsolitonic pulse with modulation.
Keywords:
soliton, extremely short pulse, optical rectification.
