RF controllable quantum interference on Mossbauer transition

Abstract:
Coherency and a quantum interference effects at resonant fluorescence of moessbauer radiation in the magnetic materials subjected to influence of external r.f. fields are considered. Density matrix method for calculation of moessbauer spectra developed earlier for similar problems in optics is used. It is shown, that in the regime of a nuclear magnetic resonance at the excited nuclear level the intensity of raman lines in scattering spectra can exceed considerably the intensity of elastic scattering line (“valve” effect) due to a quantum interference. The analysis of this effect by the perturbation theory method is curried out also. The received results and similar results known in optics are compared. The possibility of experimental researches of a quantum interference effects on moessbauer transitions (on isotope $^{57}$Fe) is shown, using traditional moessbauer technique and r.f. excitation of magnetic materials.
