Numerical modeling of the propagation of decimeter radio waves in the troposphere using the WRF (Version 3.5) model and a ray tracing method

Abstract:
The paper deals with the problem of numerical modeling of the propagation of decimeter radio waves in the troposphere. A ray tracing method, which makes it possible to use the results of other models and experiments, is described. The numerical modeling of the radio wave propagation in the troposphere with the refractive index values obtained using the WRF model is carried out. The results are in good agreement with the published results of calculations in the same environment based on the Euler ray equation solution.
