Abstract:
This paper discusses the problems of switching from one access control system (ACS) to another, such as laying of wires, changing software when changing readers, and lack of scalability. These problems are relevant and difficult to solve to this day, which leads to large financial costs and difficulties when changing access control systems. The main components of the ACS were considered, and the advantages and disadvantages of already using the types of ACS were analyzed. As a solution to the problems, we propose the following:
1. design of special software that allows you to aggregate information from different data transfer protocols;
2. design of a system that includes the advantages of autonomous and networked access control systems.
The presented solutions will lead to an improvement in technical, economic, and operational characteristics, namely:
1. data conversion, which eliminates the need to wire the transition to a new system;
2. the use of the radio channel will reduce the cost and speed up the installation of this system;
3. high resiliency due to a decentralized system;
4. simple scalability of the system;
5. facilitating and reducing the cost of transition to new systems.
