Using a skeleton-geometric model for ECAD-MCAD synchronization of an aircraft harness

Abstract:
The paper deals with the organization of the design process for an aircraft harness. The main focus is on the synchronization of the component base and the geometry of the aircraft harness between the electrical circuit in the ECAD system and the 3D model in the MCAD system. The need for such synchronization arises due to the fact that the design process is iterative and the designer can return to the previous stage of the life cycle. To solve this problem, a mathematical skeleton-geometric model is developed, which is used for backward compatibility and synchronization between MCAD and ECAD systems.
