Topology optimization of pitot-static tube by SIMP method

Abstract:
The mathematical model that simulates deformation of the pitot-static tube under a broadband random vibration is developed in ANSYS Mechanical. By means of topological optimization using SIMP method, a pitot-static tube shape is determined that ensures maximum strength and minimum weight taking into account the size limitation.
