Situation modes of 3D GIS

Abstract: The article is devoted to the actual theme of situation visualization in three-dimensional geoinformational systems (3D GIS). The main modes of displaying the situation in 3D GIS are proposed, such as: marine, ground, air and mixed modes. The objects and situations that take part in each of the modes are considered. A skeletal model of 3D GIS functioning algorithms is developed, which is a necessary base for providing any 3D GIS mode.
