Excimer lasers

Abstract: A review is given of the available information on the active media of excimer lasers and specific examples of such lasers are considered. These utilize transitions between molecular terms, the lower of which is repulsive. An analysis of the elementary processes resulting in the excitation of excimer lasers is used to determine their optimal parameters.
