Abstract:
We briefly describe the current state of research in the rapidly developing field of optical frequency standards using optically and electromagnetically trapped ultracold atoms and ions. The primary emphasis is on the new spectroscopic techniques developed at the Institute of Laser Physics, SB RAS, to improve the stability and precision of current optical frequency standards.
