Abstract: The paper presents a new general scheme for qualitative and approximate investigation of basic scenarios of local bifurcations in models of population dynamics. Necessary and sufficient conditions for bifurcation of the equilibrium state and the Andronov–Hoph systems for population dynamics are given.
