Abstract: We consider new possibilities for creation of direct, yet switchable in decentralized way, optical connections between elements of a computing system. Laser demultiplexors are employed for distributed commutation while repeaters are equipped with memory units. The suggested solution allows for the fast design and synchronization of immediate connections between device groups.
Keywords: distributed switching, laser demultiplexer, distributed synchronization.
