Small-diametr system area network composed from small-port routers

Abstract:
We consider implementation of large system area networks with small diameter based on routers with small port count and suggest a basic structure of a 2D-4D generalized hypercube with sparse dimensions. Dimensions are implemented with a non-blocking multi-ring, which has unit diameter. All designs employ routers of Russian «Angara» series.
