Hardware and Software Tools in Control

Airborne electromagnetc systems and improvement of their efficiency

B. V. Pavlov, A. K. Volkovitskii

Institute of Control Sciences of RAS
References:
Abstract: Brief description of functioning principle of airborne electromagnetic (AEM) systems is given and purposes of these systems are described. Primary focus is made on technical and methodical aspects of signal measurements for low-frequency active sounding systems and on technology of their practical use. Principles of evaluation of AEM system measuring, mapping and operational efficiency are described and main approaches to improve efficiency are shown.
Keywords: airborne electromagnetics, electromagnetic sounding system, airborne geophysical system.
