Abstract: We discuss problems of development of Russian universities at the international academic market and propose some solutions. One of these solutions is issuing several university journals (on economics, sociology, political science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, etc.) in English. These journals should accept most interesting research papers irrespective on the authors’ affiliation.
