Abstract: Computational experiments with simulation models for computer networks are performed to estimate various networkscharacteristics, for example, to check if a network satisfies requirements on a probability of delivering messages within a given time interval. If the probability of non-delivering is very small, this rare event may not occur during computational modeling experiments. We propose the design of computational experiments performed to check requirements on the probability of non-delivering as well as the method for experimental data processing
Keywords: computer networks, simulating modeling, rare event probabilities, design for simulating experiments.
