Abstract: Mathematical and economical models are used to analyze incentives of durable equipment owners to accelerate its renewal to ecologically pure one. Conditions are revealed when the government has to stimulate acquisition of ecologically safer equipment (even when this equipment is money-saving). Comparative analysis is performed of stimulation discretionary instruments (such as taxation of old goods) and built-in regulators (such as taxation of toxic emission)
Keywords: durable equipment, ecology, economic effectiveness Porter hypothesis, stimulation, corruption risks.
