Abstract: We suggest an approach to traffic modeling on problem intervals of road networks. The approach is based on cause -effect complexes. It allows accounting for cumulative effect of heterogeneous components of traffic situation, including human factor, which is crucial in emergency situations. We use the suggested approach to model a single node of a road network. We describe both a structure of the model and details of its components. An example is given of traffic modeling on a regular crossroad.
Keywords: traffic system, road network, modeling, cause-effect complex.
