Aggregating results of expert stratification bypassing matrices of paired comparison: case of scientific journals rating

O. Fedorets

All-Russian Institute for Scientific and Technical Information of Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow
References:
Abstract: One of the distinctive features of a scientific journal is its multidisciplinary character that demands estimations from the experts in various scientific fields. Another feature is that each expert estimates the set of journals; therefore a matrix of expert estimations turns out to be incomplete. The routine is offered for absolute scale construction based on an expert estimations set; moving totals method is suggested for journals lexicographic ordering.
Keywords: expertise organization; scientific journals rating; aggregation of expert estimations; incomplete expert data; numerical scale construction; moving total.
