Differential model of nucleate boiling

Abstract: The suggested mathematical model of nucleate boiling based on a set of ordinary differential equations describes the space-time distribution of wall superheating for a given heat flux density. The averaged characteristics reproduce heat transfer under conditions of boiling in a wide pressure range. The density of nucleation sites is calculated in view of fractal geometry of rough heating surfaces.
