Radial temperature distribution in an axis-symmetrical nonstationary plasma

Abstract:
The distributions of arc oscillations depending on the current, the gas mass flow rate, and the distance from the cathode in a plasmatron with a fixed arc length are obtained. The intensity of the distributions in the plasma is obtained by means of the transverse shooting technique. From the measurement results, the temperature distribution over the arc radius is determined. The influence of the oscillations on the measurement accuracy is shown.
