Abstract:
The opticomechanical anemometer proposed for measuring the flow rate of optically transparent media uses an optical fiber converter of small displacements to an electric signal to measure the deformations of the elastic sensitive element. Some test results obtained with the instrument are examined, along with some aspects of selecting the anemometer design characteristics and the material for the sensitive element. The error of the method is assessed.
