Association of water molecules in superheated water vapor

Abstract: The equilibrium constants of reactions of the formation of associates of water molecules up to six molecules were calculated. Here, use was made of a set of vibrational frequencies of the associates, obtained earlier on the basis of model representations. The criterion for the correctness of the determination of the concentrations and the selection of the energies of the hydrogen bonds was agreement between the calculated concentration of monometric molecules and concentrations obtained previously by the method of infrared spectroscopy.
