Energy balance of a high-pressure cesium pulsed discharge in a transparent capillary

Abstract: An experimental evaluation was made of the various components of the energy balance of a pulsed high-pressure cesium discharge in a transparent thick-walled capillary. It is shown that, with the selected parameters of the discharge, the contribution of the thermal lag of the plasma and of longitudinal dissipation of heat to the energy of the process is negligibly small.
