Thermophysical Properties of Materials

Spectral emissivities of molten refractory metals

B. Ya. Berezin, S. A. Kats, V. Ya. Chekhovskoi

Institute for High Temperatures, USSR Academy of Sciences, Moscow
Abstract: Emissivity measurements at $0. 65$ $\mu$m have been made for liquid molybdenum, niobium, vanadium, titanium, and ruthenium at their melting points; the specimens were heated by levitation, with the brightness-temperature measurement at the melting point. The results are presented in tables and compared with data of other authors.
