Solution of the one-dimensional transfer equation in an absorbing and radiating gas by the method of discrete angular subdivision

Abstract: The problem of radiative heat transfer between plane jets of absorbing and radiating gas moving at constant speed is solved by the method of discrete angular subdivision of the one-dimensional transfer equation. It is shown that the use of a small number of angular zones gives good accuracy and short computation time.
