Solution of a two-dimensional stefan problem in a quasistationary approximation

Abstract:
The article presents a discussion about an approximate method of solving a two-dimensional Stefan problem for the case of the solidification of castings having cross sections bounded by piecewise-smooth curves. The solution is carried out in a quasistationary approximation. The method is illustrated by examples of regions bounded by corners, second-order curves, epicycloids, hypocycloids, and squares with rounded-off corners.
