Heat-transfer studies for a liquid boiling in a slot

Abstract: Heat transfer rates from ribbed and finned heated surfaces are studied for the purpose of establishing the most efficient use of heat from plates into boiling liquids. It was established that the heat transfer coefficient in a slot may be decreased due to the vapor bubbles generated in slots. Results are given obtained by experiments and recorded by high-speed photography and measurements.
