Limiting vapor contents associated with the boiling of a vapor–liquid mixture in annular channels

The reasons for the low values of the limiting and critical vapor contents found in annular channels with heated inner surfaces by comparison with the corresponding values in tubes are analyzed. The resultant equations derived for the limiting and critical vapor contents are compared with experimental data obtained from a variety of investigations.
