Thermophysical Properties of Materials

Thermal conductivity of graphite in the basal plane

U. A. Logachev, A. S. Skal

Ioffe Physico-Technical Institute USSR Academy of Sciences, Leningrad
Abstract: The thermal conductivity of graphite in the approximation of disconnected layers is calculated without the introduction of matching parameters. The temperatures at which phonon-phonon collisions may be considered as the principal scattering mechanism are examined. The part played by individual branches of the vibration spectrum in heat transfer and scattering is analyzed.
