Heat-transfer crisis and discharge of liquid in a film during passage of dispersed-annular flows

Abstract: Results are presented of an experimental investigation of discharge of liquid in a film during approach to heat-transfer crisis in a vertical heated pipe. It is shown that at the site where heat transfer crisis arises, the discharge of liquid in the film is close to zero.
