Pulsed method for determination of thermal diffusivity

Abstract: A new modification is proposed of the laser method which permits elimination of effects of inhomogeneity of the energy flux on the accuracy of determination of thermal diffusivity. Results are presented of probe measurements of the thermal diffusivity of type Cr18Ni9Ti steel at room temperature.
