Institute for High Temperatures, USSR Academy of Sciences, Moscow
Abstract: The prospects of applications of plasmas in alkali metal vapors are assessed. Monomer-dimer interaction potentials for lithium, sodium, and potassium are calculated by the asymptotic method and the method of diatomics in molecules. Potentials calculated in the different ways are used to determine the scattering transport cross sections.
