Abstract:
The heat transfer associated with turbulent flow of dissociating nitrogen peroxide in a circular pipe heated uniformly along its length is studied experimentally. A generalized relation is derived for calculating the heat transfer for turbulent flow of nonequilibrium-dissociating nitrogen peroxide with regard for the temperature and pressure dependence of the physicochemical properties of the gas mixture. The influence of nonuniformity of the radial temperature distribution on the average chemical reaction rate over the cross section is analyzed theoretically.
