Homogeneous nucleation in liquid-metal coolants saturated with hydrogen

Abstract: A study is made of the effect of spontaneous nucleation on the maximum superheat attainable in a dilute solution of hydrogen in liquid potassium. Calculations are performed to determine the diffusion tensor of the nuclei in the space of their state variables. Also, an expression is presented for the steady-state rate of nucleation.
