Percolation mechanism of initiation and development of a boiling crisis on surfaces with porous coatings

Abstract: Results are presented from studies of the mechanism of initiation and development of a boiling crisis on surfaces with porous coatings. The studies are conducted by the method of thermography. It is shown that the boiling crisis which occurs under these conditions is of a percolational nature.
