Dynamics of plasma flares produced by subnanosecond radiation pulses

Abstract: Numerical methods are used to study the dynamics of the formation and development of a plasma flare during irradiation of a solid target by a subnanosecond pulse of laser light. The effect of the characteristics of the radiation and the pressure of the surrounding medium on the development of the interaction processes is determined.
