Abstract:
The device and experimental method of determining the effective absorption coefficient and diffusion coefficient of radiation in strongly scattering materials are described. Problems related to the effect of polarization of laser radiation are investigated. The data obtained on the effective absorption coefficient and diffusion of radiation of fibrous quartz heat insulation are given as an example.
